Me and Facebook Through The Years

At first, Facebook was just a trend to me. I wasn't really into it. My family members that were in college used to always talk about how they used it to connect with their high school friends. At the time, I was still in high school, so I figured maybe when I got to college I might actually use it. Just like with Myspace, the trend of Facebook began to spread to younger individuals. Before I knew it, everyone in my high was on Facebook and talking about how it was so much better than Facebook. I told myself I would never get one just because everybody else had, and that worked for about a couple of months. I was so curious at how much better it was than Myspace.
When I first created my Facebook, I was on it all of the time. I was always updating my status, and checking out everybody else's page. I like it because it was just something new, but as the years went on, I started to use it much less. I rarely updated my status or look at other people's pictures.
Since I have gotten older, I use my Facebook more to network and connect with people that are in my field of interest. Facebook is something that I think will always be useful. I can be social, as well as, meeting people professionally if I use it the right way. I don't think Facebook will ever get old.
